Food Truck Tuesdays Return April 10!

Food Truck Tuesdays

We don’t know about you, but we’re ready for a little spring – and one sure sign that spring has sprung here in Buffalo is the sight (and smell) of gourmet food trucks lining up in Larkin Square for Food Truck Tuesdays.

If you’ve been living under a rock (or if you’re new to the area, in which case we’ll let it slide), every Tuesday evening in Larkin Square – starting April 10 – food trucks from Buffalo, Rochester and beyond come together to celebrate an evening of food, music and fun.

You can learn about some of the trucks (including some new ones) here, courtesy of our friends at The Buffalo News – or find out about other events happening in Larkin Square this summer, including the music line-up, here.

See you there on April 10, starting at 4:30!

Halloween is our second favorite time of year, right after St. Patrick’s Day.

Spooky dry ice witches cauldron?  Check.  Rocks glasses that hold dry ice to create a foggy cocktail?  Check.  Dry ice in block and nugget form?  Check.  Starting in early October, before you go to the exhausting effort of trying to find all your spooky effects to liven up your Halloween party, why not save yourself the trouble and come to your Halloween one stop shop headquarters, Irish Carbonic?

Showroom Displays

In addition to the dry ice accessories for sale, we will be dressing up our showroom to get you in the spooky spirit.  Bring in your kids when you pick up your dry ice.  They will love the live demonstrations of different uses for dry ice.  Click here to go directly to our Halloween web page.

Irish Carbonic has two dry ice locations.  Our Buffalo office at 1444 Clinton is open M-F 8-5 and our Rochester location at 535 Buffalo Road is open M-F 8-4.

Taste of East Aurora is a charming neighborhood café located in the heart of East Aurora.  It is where you will find our newest installation, a three head, cold brewed, nitro infused coffee system.

But to say Taste is only a coffeehouse is like saying Coca-Cola Field only has peanuts.  There is so much more to this cute place.

Taste is also a music café.  The exposed ceiling inside has at least four speakers mounted playing music.  At the time of my weekday visit at 9 am, the easy groove heard was a nice, subtle vibe to the customers who may have been up for a while, or just waking up and strolling over for their cup of joe.  Taste also has a long table towards the front of the store where anyone can buy a CD, presumably from some on the musicians that Taste play over their music system.

Taste is set up cafeteria style where you walk in from the left and place your order from the many options on the colorful blackboards behind the counter, then walk single file to the right of the counter and wait for your order to be completed.  Some items may take a while to prepare since everything is made fresh, so people can sit any one of the numerous long wooden tables if you’re in a group, or a two-top table if your alone, or perhaps at the front of the store where you can sit and read the morning paper that Taste provides while people watching thru the big picture window as East Aurora residents go about their daily lives in this quaint village.

Some of the breakfast items listed on the blackboard include a “Sunrise Benedict”, and a “Bandito Burrito”  All breakfast items that I can see range from $5-9.

Not a breakfast person?  Taste also serves up lunch with blackboard items that include the “Millard Fill-Me-More”, paying tribute to the 13th U.S. President who once called East Aurora home.  All lunch sandwiches come with a side salad and cost $9.95 across the board.  Some of the soup offerings that are available this day at Taste include Nutty Albacore, Hubbard In The Cupboard, and a Soup of the Day.

Taste is also promoting its Lobsterfest which runs May-September and include lobster rolls, cakes, and grilled cheese.

In addition to the nitro infused cold brew that Irish Carbonic installed, beverages of all sorts including lattes, espresso, tea, and frozen drinks are available to enjoy.

Live music on Fridays and Saturday’s in the month of July are listed on a (you guessed it)  blackboard near the entrance.  You can also enjoy a nice day at Taste outside on any one of their sidewalk table with umbrellas.  WiFi is offered free.

Taste Of East Aurora is located at 634 Main St at the corner of Riley.  Hours of operation are 7a-10p M-TH, 7a-11p Friday, 8a-11p Saturday and 8a-8p Sunday.

You should check them out.  #coffeeandgoodstuff

The calendar may say Spring and with the cold weather season behind us, the last thing a residential propane customer wants to do is research prices for the upcoming winter.  It can be such a hassle to do all the research to find the best price available and signup with a new company only to find out days later that some other company is offering a lower price.

It’s called the old “bait and switch” tactic.  But that is only the first part of the hassle.   Some propane companies out there use the cable company tactic where there is a low price promotional period to get you to switch companies only to raise their price substantially year after year.  Scheduling a time to have the old company uninstall their tank then having to schedule a time for the installation of the new tank- talk about hassle!   Why are you having to think about this year after year?  Don’t you want to take all the guesswork out of this to relax and enjoy yourself?

There is a hassle-free solution called Fair and Honest pricing from Irish Propane.

What does Fair and Honest pricing mean to you, the consumer?  We realize it can be such a hassle to have to think about this so we guarantee you will get our best price available year after year.  No more price shock each month and no more having to do endless research and no more price shopping.  We want the privilege of having you as a customer for life and in return our pledge to you will be that you will get our best price available- every year!  Sound good?  Want more?

With your Fair and Honest pricing comes a Personal Service Guarantee.  Our knowledgeable and courteous office staff, Anita and Mike will answer our office phone every business day to answer any question or address any issue you may have with your propane account.  No getting bounced around to call centers and absolutely no automated call attendants.  It will be like calling up your trusted best buddy for help.

We are so sure of our Fair and Honest pricing that we are willing to put our money where our mouth is in our Referral Program.  Celebrate your hassle-free Fair and Honest price with all your neighbors and for every neighbor that signs a new residential account with Irish Propane will mean $125 to you and $125 to your neighbor- it’s that easy!

Combine all of this with Irish Propane’s superior service 24/7/365 and what you now have is a hassle free, Fair and Honest solution.  So call today so you can sit and relax tomorrow!
